Thank you for your comment. The second episode began 48 hours after receiving the Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) vaccine. (1) In addition to clinical symptoms of myocarditis, troponin elevation and EKG abnormalities, cardiac MRI showed low normal LV ejection fraction (53%), trivial pericardial effusion, sub-epicardial late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) in the left ventricular mid lateral and apical regions. The distribution of LGE was identical to that seen on the prior episode of myocarditis.
