Although emergence of gender dysphoria at puberty is long established, a distinct pathway of “rapid onset gender dysphoria” (ROGD) was recently hypothesized based on parental data. As child health needs have evolved, there remain serious shortages and maldistribution of the pediatric workforce (1).
